Stepping up a Gear

As part of our programme to increase our profile in the marketplace Lemac has taken part in the Shell Step programme by having a student placement running over the summer period.

The Shell Step programme places students from various different academic backgrounds into pre-defined projects of importance to the particular business. As a result we had a business studies student from Napier University, Edinburgh working with us over the summer to help enhance our sales and marketing practices. In addition to this he has been looking at how we can enhance and build our relationships with our existing customers.

This has been a beneficial experience for both Lemac and our student alike, as you can see from our new website there have been numerous benefits that the project has brought to the business. The development of the new website was one of the main aspects along with a customer satisfaction survey being completed and the results will be used to further improve our products and services. Also our student now has many new skills he has learned and that all important aspect; relevant experience on his CV. We now have the student working with us on a permanent basis to hopefully help us improve further, below you can see a picture of our student along with the other participants at the regional final for Edinburgh and Lothians.
