Buffet service

Lemac motors are currently on life test to replace the existing imported motors on the pump for Coffee dispensing machines in the buffet carriage of trains. The current motor stalls due to the variation in voltage of the supply as the train moves and Lemac is therefore working with the engineers to provide an AC motor that will keep the drinks flowing.

Feeling the cold?

Web site update

Lemac.com is currently being updated to include the 40 range and 55 range. Whilst these motors have been developed and introduced in production over the last 3 years, their sales have been specifically targeted to some existing customers. We are now in the position to make these new ranges available for all customers. The 40Range is 100mm Diameter and adds to the low end of the range and the 55 Range is 143mm Diameter and fits between the existing 48 range and 60 range. Both ranges are avail.....»

Nice weather for slugs

The recent wet weather has not brought much good news, but a company supplying machines for dispensing Slug Pellets to Potatoes farming community is seeing record sales and is investing in the development of their machine. Lemac is working with them to supply a DC motor, fitted with encoder, which will improve accuracy of the amount of pellets distributed, saving on the cost of pellets and limiting over supply with possible harm to wildlife. Looks like some bad news for the slugs!

Further expansion of our gear rack capacity

Due to further expansion of our gear rack capacity, with the purchase of an additional Kesel gear cutting machine, Lemac are now pleased to be able to supply our customers lengths of gear rack up to 2.3 meters long.

This increases our total manufacturing capacity to over half a million meters per year.

As part of our programme to increase our profile in the marketplace Lemac has taken part in the Shell Step programme by having a student placement running over the summer period.

The Shell Step programme places students from various different academic backgrounds into pre-defined projects of importance to the particular business.
